Caring for Jewelry involves some simple advice:
Avoid contact with any cosmetics or household products that could damage the color.
To clean Jewelry always uses soap and warm water (neutral PH) and a brush with soft bristles. Dry afterwards with a cloth.
It is important to check the clasps and catches frequently to see if they are secure.
It is also recommended to check the settings frequently in Jewelry to make sure that the stones are not loose or have not already fallen out.
Do not expose Jewelry to extreme temperatures.
The correct protection for each piece is to keep it in its original box or bag.
If you use a Jewelry case, make sure that the pieces are kept in separate compartments.
Avoid leaving chains loose and out as they may get knots in them.
Always avoid contact with rough surfaces.
The less a piece of Jewelry rubs against something the longer the life it will have.

CARING FOR STONES
Stones can visibly deteriorate when in contact with chemicals such as acids, alcohol, perfumes and detergents, etc... Different temperatures can have an altering effect too.
Keep natural stones, such as pearls, well away from chemical agents such as soap, perfume, creams and detergents as they are more susceptible than other gems. Avoid direct contact with heat such as lighting and radiators as precious stones like these will disintegrate.

Custom and taxes
Please note, custom taxes and duties are the customer’s responsibility.
Your VDB BY VAN DER BAUWEDE jewellery will be delivered by our expert couriers and will arrive beautifully gift wrapped.
For Swiss customers, the expedition time will be two working day, after the manufacturing delay.
For European customers, the expedition time will be four working day, after the manufacturing delay.
For customers outside Switzerland and European community, the expedition time will be up to seven working day, after the manufacturing delay.
Please allow extra time on weekends, Bank Holidays and during our busy Christmas and Easter periods.
Please be aware that all deliveries need to be signed for, and photographic ID may be required. If you are not available at the time of delivery, our courier company will leave a note and you will be able to reschedule your delivery for a more convenient time.
